Version 9.0.1 of STELLA® and iThink® includes a significant number of new features that further improve the user interface and extend overall capabilities.

User Interface Additions

Hyperlink button – Link models to any web page or file by clicking on the new Hyperlink button.

Menu button options – Access Import Now, Export Now, Print (behaves like the File/Print menu option) and Print Screen (previously labeled Print) from the Menu button.

Increased access to right-click menus – Access right-click menus inside table pads and graph pads.

Default settings – Use new Page Orientation, Analyze Mode, and Simulation Speed defaults.

Hover values – Hold the cursor over an arrayed element to displays its values.

Additional drag and drop capabilities – Drag and drop arrayed Flows and Converters onto Tables and Graphs.

Automatic checks for file extensions (on Windows machines) – Automatic file checks note extensions have been claimed by another application and prompt you for a new association.

Improved Data Handling

Extended data import – Import values into arrayed Conveyors and Queues.

Improved data export – Export model variables alphabetical order.

Import support for regional numeric formats – Import Excel data in non-English numeric format. iThink and STELLA will automatically convert values to English. When data is exported, the English values will convert to their original non-English format.

Eased requirements for arrayed elements – Arrayed elements no longer require every input variable to be used in the equation.

Long variable name handling – Long variable names truncate in the middle, rather than the end, making it easy to differentiate between variables and array elements with similar variable names or subscripts. Loops pads also wrap variable names instead of truncating.

Built-in functions – Use the new built-in HISTORY and array functions (ARRAYIDX, DIMSIZE).

Increased data limits for graphical functions – Graphical functions support up to 2500 data points.
