Lebanon, NH, February 8, 2005— isee systems, the world leader in Systems
Thinking software, welcomed a new executive team in December 2004. Jack Templin
heads the company as CEO and Joanne Egner assumes responsibility for STELLA™
and iThink™ development and marketing.
Templin is a seasoned management consultant, entrepreneur, and educator with
expertise in the strategic application of information technology. He has held
executive positions at leading consulting firms including Lead Strategist at
iXL New York (now SBI & Company) and President of Arc eConsultancy. In
addition, he has extensive teaching expertise, including as a Peace Corps
teacher in the South Pacific, and as an adjunct professor at the graduate
programs of both New York University and Columbia.
"We took a thoughtful, careful approach to finding a CEO," said Jessica Richmond
who directed the company following her father Barry Richmond’s death in 2002.
"With Jack’s background in both the business and education worlds, he’s
uniquely qualified to lead isee. And, as a proven high-tech entrepreneur, he is
well-positioned to expand isee’s product capabilities and market reach."
It didn’t take long to understand the opportunities at isee," said Templin.
“This company has unmatched experience, expertise, and relationships in its
market. We’re looking forward to bringing our products deeper into the
education and business markets as well as into new geographic and vertical
markets. Solidifying our position in Japan with localized products and
releasing the free isee Player™ that makes STELLA and iThink models
easier to share are just two exciting starts down that road."
Joanne Egner, who brings over 15 years of product development and marketing
experience to isee, echoes Templin’s enthusiasm. "I’ve been impressed by the
use of Systems Thinking software across a broad spectrum of applications.
isee’s extensive partner network and growing user community are eager for new
development and we are well on the way to new product releases." Before joining
isee, Egner was with Tally System Corp. where she held a variety of senior
level product management positions.
About isee systems (www.iseesystems.com
)— isee (formerly High Performance Systems) is the world leader in Systems
Thinking software. Founded in 1985, isee developed STELLA™, the first software
to bring Systems Thinking to the desktop. In addition to STELLA which is used
primarily by educators and researchers, isee offers iThink™ for business
simulation. isee is a privately-held company with substantial global reach in
business, education, and government markets.
A note on Systems Thinking software— Systems Thinking software uses
models to simulate processes and scenarios; pointing out consequences of an
action or policy, and then offering opportunity to change those consequences.
Models act like "practice fields", showing users outcomes that could be
painful, costly, or embarrassing if discovered in reality.
