The isee.NET Framework is a Software Development Kit (SDK) that allows you to extend your iThink or STELLA models and include simulation engines with your custom-designed software. The Framework provides developers with a software library of .NET components for programmatic access to the iThink or STELLA modeling engine and model interface objects. Using the isee.NET Framework, you can do things like:
Create custom Web interfaces to access or run your iThink or STELLA models
Integrate your model with other applications or databases
Develop web-based or desktop applications that include model simulation engines
To deploy a custom application or web interface developed using the isee.NET Framework, you need to purchase a license to redistribute the simulation engine used in your application. For more information, see Licensing your applications.
To develop an application using the isee.NET Framework you must have access to the following software:
• Microsoft Windows XP/2000 or Windows 2003 Server
• Microsoft IIS (ASP.NET applications only)
• Visual Studio.NET 2005 or 2003 (required to run the example applications)
• iThink or STELLA version 8 or higher (may be installed on a separate machine)
