
A
graduate of Arya-Mehr University of Iran, Zahed received his PhD. in
Computational Fluid Dynamics from The University of Iowa in 1985. He then
joined Creare, a research and development consulting firm, as a project
engineer. He worked for the group involved with the development and marketing
of a fluid dynamics simulation software. Zahed's last role was the Marketing
Director when he left Creare in 1991 to join Flomerics, a start-up in
Massachusetts. In 1993, Zahed became the President of Flomerics Inc. The
company grow from 3 people in 1991 to over 35 people in 2000 with a revenue of
$10M and a market share of over 75%. In 2000, Zahed left Flomerics to start his
own company, CoolingZone, to provide services to the electronics industry in
the area of cooling.
Zahed
has been studying Systems Thinking and System Dynamics since 1992 when for the
first time he read Peter Senge's book, The Fifth Discipline. He started formal
education at WPI under Professor Saeed in 1998 as a part time PhD. student. He
joined High Performance Systems in December of 2002 as a Vice President. His
goal is to work with the HPS team and its thousands of customers to continue
what Barry Richmond had started.
