Features

Stella Professional includes the functionality included in the Map, Model, and Equation layers of STELLA and iThink 10.1 - plus much, much more. You can build and simulate models with Stella Professional.

Stella Architect (also iThink) includes Stella Professional plus tools for adding Interfaces to your models, like the Interface layer in 10.1. Stella Architect also can be used to publish models to the isee Exchange web site, similar to isee NetSim.

If you want to add Interfaces to your models, then you will need Stella Architect.

Faculty licenses

All customers who have STELLA/iThink 10.1 faculty licenses automatically have Stella Professional in their accounts at no additional cost. All faculty license support contracts have been switched from 10.1 to Stella Professional. Support on Stella Professional will require renewal on an annual basis to continue getting technical support and maintenance.

If you would like to sidegrade your faculty license to Stella Architect, please contact support@iseesystems.com or call (603) 448-4990 to request a quote.

Lab licenses

Upon request, 10.1 lab licenses can be swapped for Stella Professional licenses. You just need to send an email to support@iseesystems.com or call (603) 448-4990. There is no charge to do this. Please remember that swapping the licenses to Stella Professional will not extend the support contract on your lab licenses.

The software will feel very familiar to STELLA/iThink users. At the same time, some things will need getting used to. Overall, we’re confident you will be happy with the end result. Most users have been able to make the transition without difficulty. All of the concepts remain the same. However, some features may require different user actions.

Models saved in versions 10.0 and above will open in Stella Architect and Stella Professional. Please note that once they are saved in the new software they are not backward compatible, i.e., you will not be able to open the models in version 10.0 or 10.1.

Models saved with versions prior to 10.0 (that have a .itm or .stm extension) can be opened in your copy of STELLA/iThink 10.1, saved, and then opened in the newest software. If you have problems converting your models, please email support@iseesystems.com with your attached model so that we can help you.
